Ticks and fleas eat diatomaceous earth, but little did they know, it will cause them to dehydrate and eventually die. Diatomaceous earth can be directly rubbed against the dog's coat or it can be pulverized and be used as natural flea powder.

Flea comb - this is very effective in getting rid of dog's fleas. Use it as a regular comb and dip it into a soapy water to dislodge the fleas. Some dog owners instead of dipping the comb into soapy water, they use juice and spice sprays like those mentioned earlier.

Flea infestation is a very common problem in dogs. Although it is widespread, it is treatable and preventable.
